No, the Buy Black Market is a free admission event, open to the public. All groups of people are welcome to attend, shop and support the business vendors involved. The purpose of the event is to drive awareness to the Black owned businesses that can be utilized by all people.
All vendor fee payments and add-ons are non-refundable or transferrable, unless where stated otherwise. Please refer to our terms and conditions for full details regarding our cancellation and refund policies.
Electricity is an additional cost based on the Amp required. It must be pre-purchased before the event to be guarantee availability. No vendors who do not purchase electricity will be guaranteed access to electricity during the event
Regular Check-in for all vendors is 7am-7:30am designated for outdoor business vendors. 7:30am-10:30am designated for indoor business vendors. Vendor check-in ends promptly at the cutoff time. Business vendors are required to be fully set-up by 10:50am.
Yes. Business vendors must purchase the early set-up access which allows you to check-in prior to the day you are finalized to be a business vendor.
No vendor booth space is guaranteed and is assigned solely at the discretion of the authorized Buy Black Market team

Yes, there is a double booth option as a part of the vendor slot purchase that allows you to purchase a second booth space. You can leave in the note additional comments if you want your 2 booths connected or separated as well as close to each other or spread out throughout the event space.
The event is scheduled to happen at the NC State Fair in the Kerr Scott building. You must enter on Gate: 9 (circled) , the building has a "X" in the picture to identify. The picture of the map of the NC state fair is located here:
Yes, there is ample parking in several lots and it is free.
No pets are allowed indoors at our event.
We are taking several measures to drive traffic and awareness to this event:

-We have ad campaigns running across social media of the upcoming event
-Notifying our growing e-mail & text list
-Flyer posting/distribution (50,000+)
-Local news coverage
-Radio ads on: Hot 97.9, The Light 103.9, K97.5, & Foxy 104/107
-North Carolina State Fair will post it on their event calenda, as well as on-site the week of the event
-There will also be outside signage hung around the fairgrounds the week before and the day of the event
-We've also event pages on several social media platforms including: Facebook, Melanated People Social, and Black-Page with ads running to them.

We've found social media ads to be the VERY EFFECTIVE!
